Former German Chancellor and Honorary President of the German Near and Middle East Association (NUMOV) visited the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from the 15th to the 17th of January 2017.
The Highlight of the Former Chancellor´s visit to Riyadh was his meeting with the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
The Former Chancellor was accompanied bz a high- ranking economic delegation including CEOs of important German companies operating in the Kingdom.
From his arrival until his departure, Mr. Schröder had a verz dense program. He met the Saudi Minister of Transport Dr. Sulaiman al Hamdan, as well as the deputy Minister of Economy and Planning Dr. Mohamed al Tuwaijri and Deputy Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Mohamed al Harbi.
Furthermore, Mr. Schroeder and his delegation held also talks with the Governor of Riyadh, HRH Prince Faisal bin Bandar.
The former Chancellor, who has been a regular visitor to the Kingdom and considers himself a freind of Saudi Arabia has been very much interested in learning about "Kingdom Vision 2030" and the National Transformation Plan.
