From now on, professionals and volunteers between the ages of 23 and 45 can apply for the "CrossCulture Programme" initiated by ifa (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen). Applicants can submit their documents until 8 January 2017 on our online application

International Parliamentary Scholarship Programme

Apply for the Scholarship Programme of the German Parliament until January 31st, and go to Germany for four weeks in September 2017.

Learning German in a New Home : Opening of the new Goethe-Institut in Umm al Hammam Bundestag Vice President Claudia Roth, German Ambassador Dieter W. Haller, and Goethe-Institute Financial Director Bruno Gross officially opened the new location of the Goethe-Institut German Courses and exams in Riyadh on November 1st, 2016. Since 2014, the Institute has offered German courses and exams in Riyadh, and demand has since then steadily increased.

Visa Requirements for Short Term (Schengen) and Long Term (National) Visa

Find all relevant information on visa for short and long term visits to Germany. Short term visa applications are to be submitted at our Joint Application Center in Riyadh, Jeddah or Al Khobar for your convenience and to assure that all relevant documents are included in your file.

Goethe Institut Language courses and exams

The Goethe Institut Language courses and exams now offers German language classes for beginners and advanced learners at two locations in Riyadh.

1. At Al Bustan Compound in the premises of the German International School Riyadh.
